RCMP seek help identifying man in attempted child lure incident

TERRACE—RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an individual attempting to lure a child into a car.

Terrace RCMP received a complaint on Friday, Sept.18 at 6 p.m., saying that a male had approached their son on the 4600 Block of Park Ave. Police say that the man approached the child and asked him to come to his van as he had candy.

The child refused and ran back to its parents. The suspect is said to have disappeared. The male is described to have been wearing black pants and a grey shirt, and is described as middle-aged, dark-tan skin, with a patchy beard and stocky.
