It’s your last chance to vote

Oct 24, 2020 | 6:00 AM

ckpPRINCE GEORGE–It’s General Voting day–a.k.a your last chance to vote in the 2020 B.C. Fall Election.

And if you’re planning on hitting the polls today, Elections B.C. does have some tips on how to go about it. Voting at your assigned voting place is recommended as it is “usually the easiest way to vote on General Voting Day,” according to Elections B.C.’s website.

You can, however, vote at any other voting place in your riding if it is more convenient for you.

“If you vote at another voting place, your vote will be counted at final count.”–Elections BC Website

Voters are asked to remember to bring their Where to Vote card, a mask if they wish along with their own pen or pencil. Voting opens at 8 a.m. on Oct.24 and closes at 8 p.m.

If you’re unsure where you can vote, Elections BC does have a list of voting areas for each riding. For those that requested a vote-by-mail package, they have until 8 p.m. on General Voting Day to return it to Elections BC.

“At this stage you should return your package to an in-person drop-off location to make sure we receive it by the deadline.”–Elections BC Website

Vote-by-mail packages can be dropped off today (Oct.24) at a District Electoral Office from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., a Voting Place or a participating Service B.C. location until 8 p.m.
