PRINCE GEORGE – Immaculate Conception school in College Heights is the latest school in Northern Health to have a potential exposure to COVID-19.

Northern Health is advising a possible exposure occurred between October 21-23.

This is the second school in Prince George to have a possible exposure to the virus, the ninth in Northern Health.

Immaculate Conception is part of the Diocese of Prince George, considered independent and not part of School District 57.

Northern Health says the best way to prevent the spread of infections is to wash your hands, practice proper sneeze/cough etiquette, and to get an annual flu shot.

They also encourage you to stay home if you are or have recently been ill.

If your child’s school has been notified of an exposure, no action is required unless you are contacted by Public Health or are otherwise directed by school officials.

As of Wednesday, Northern Health had 23 reported active cases of COVID-19.
