Walmart employee assaulted after asking shopper to wear mask
DAWSON CREEK — A 30-year-old Dawson Creek man is facing charges after video surveillance showed he assaulted an employee at the local Walmart for being asked to wear a face mask.
Dawson Creek RCMP say police were tipped off about the incident at 7 p.m. last night (Nov.25).
“A review of the surveillance video identified the suspect whom was located a short time later at his residence,” says Staff Sgt. Damon Werrell. “The male suspect was arrested for assault and mischief and released to attend court at a later date.”
He says the victim suffered minor injuries not requiring immediate medical attention.
