BCHL moves to pay to play model to make 20/21 season a reality
Once the BCHL had the groundwork done to safely play this year, it became more and more evident that the season was going to be played with no fans.
However, that makes for a difficult situation for the players, Kings, and the BCHL as it resulted in them having to move to a pay to play model for the 20/21 season, something the league has never done.
“The fact that it came to a point where we have to charge our families and our players a monthly fee this year, it was tough,” explained Kings General Manager Mike Hawes to CKPG.
