Northern Health breaks single-day record with 68 new cases of COVID-19

PRINCE GEORGE – More grim news for those in Northern Health as 68 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

There have also been 12 deaths due to complications related to the virus, at least three of those were reported here in Prince George on Friday at Jubilee Lodge.

Provincially there were 582 new cases of the virus, as 8,865 cases remain active, 341 in hospital, 78 in ICU.

Currently, 9,732 people are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases and a further 37,784 people who tested positive have recovered.

The good news the vaccination number has climbed again, as 8,178 people have received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in B.C.
