Charges laid in connection with attempted robbery in Williams Lake
WILLIAMS LAKE — Mounties in Williams Lake have identified the people allegedly responsible for an attempted robbery on Monday.
In that attempted robbery, one person was assaulted with bear spray while using the ATM at the Scotia Bank. RCMP say the two suspects fled the scene without any cash taken from the victim.
“It was reported that a possible third person waited outside, however police have identified that individual and learned this person had no involvement in the attempted robbery,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
“The two suspects have been identified as Justin Cahoose, 37 years old, and Justin Langlands, 24 years old, both from Williams Lake. Justin Cahoose has been charged with robbery and Justin Langlands has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both men are scheduled to appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, January 13 2021.”
