Drivers expected to survive following head-on collision involving semi-trucks

DAWSON CREEK — One person suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97N near 239 Road Tuesday morning.

Dawson Creek RCMP S/Sgt. Damon Werrell says it involved two semi-trucks at around 9:45 a.m.

“Officers attended, along with paramedics and firefighters, to render aid to the involved drivers. One of the drivers, a 30-year-old man, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries injuries,” he says.

“The other driver, a 49-year-old man, required extrication from the vehicle and suffered serious, life-threatening injuries.”
