The positional breakdown has the Cougars carrying three goaltenders, eight defencemen*, and 16 forwards. The team will also be carrying with them 10 players labelled as rookies for this year, including 15-year-old Riley Heidt, the Cougars’ 2nd overall selection from the 2020 WHL Draft.
“I’m very excited about the makeup of our roster,” said Cougars’ General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb. “We have a good number of returning players that know what to expect, but also a nice mix of young talent that will benefit from the experience of this compact season.”
