Quesnel residents vote ‘No’ in pool referendum

QUESNEL — Quesnel voters have rejected a plan to borrow $20 million for a pool upgrade project.
The project was brought forward by the North Cariboo Joint Advisory Committee, consisting of representatives from Quesnel Council and Cariboo Regional District directors from the North Cariboo (Areas A, B, C, and I).
A total of 1,001 residents voted against the proposal for pool renovations at the Quesnel and District Arts and Recreation Centre, while 941 residents voted yes.
