PRINCE GEORGE–More than 100 people attended The Nitro Motorsports Park on saturday for its first ever car show. Cars of all make and models came out in full display for the park’s first ever ‘Show and Shine.’

All proceeds from the entry fee went towards the park and drivers were given a goodie bag as a show of appreciation.

Drivers could also purchase tickets to drive down the racetrack. The president of the park says that this show was also to bring new people out and to get them interested in drag racing.

“It was to try and reach out to different people. We have our regular bracket racers that come in here on a regular basis. It was just to try and get some people that maybe didn’t know where the racetrack was or hadn’t been here in many years and didn’t know about it. That was just to reach out to those people, give people something to do as well.” said Andy Closkey, President of NITRO Motorsports Park.
