Why are you running for office?

To bring back a moral framework to Canadian legislation.

How does your party plan to address the issue of climate change?

Climate has always changed.. There is no conclusive evidence that CO2 is the cause or man’s production of it.

How would you address the challenges facing some Aboriginal communities across our region?

Clean water and decent housing are the first step. Transparency regarding the history of the residential schools ad all records made public.

What’s your stance on the development of pipelines?

Pipelines and resource extraction is essential for our region. Must be safe, efficient and environmentally sensitive.

How high a priority is affordable child care for your party? What’s your party’s pitch?

The best childcare for children is two parents, a Mom and a Dad. Strengthen families and reduce taxes so one parent can afford to stay home while the children are young.

What’s your party’s stance on vaccinations? Should they be mandatory?

No, absolutely not. No vaccine passports! These are experimental vaccines and no Canadian should be bullied or coerced to take them. If people want to take them, that’s fine but they should know they are part of an experiment.

What would you do to help seniors?

Institute a Personal Income Security Account (PISA) to eventually replace our current CPP. That would give all Canadians more control over their pension plans. Make more palliative care beds available. Help them stay in their homes longer with home care support.

How would you address the opioid crisis?

NOT by more injection sites. Teach purposeful living in schools and training young people for meaningful work and relationships.

Where in the riding do you live? Why? What are your favourite places to spend time in?

We live in Telkwa, near Smithers. We love it here. We love to spend time in the garden, listening to the birds and watching things grow.

Who’s your favourite singer/band?

Keith & Kristyn Getty
