Burns Lake women open up first cannabis shop in the community
BURNS LAKE- The first cannabis shop in Burns Lake has opened it’s doors. Crossroads Cannabis is being run by Kim Sam and Corrine Swenson. Both owners have deep roots in and around Burns Lake.
Sam and Swenson have each been involved in the Burns Lake business sector for years. Swenson spent 10 years with the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako as Manager of Regional Economic Development. Meanwhile, Sam worked as the Finance Manager for the Burns Lake Band for twenty years, and has been operating the local Subway for a decade.
“We are proud to open our store in our hometown and provide quality service and products. We grew up here. Both families want to continue to support the community and give back as both business owners and long-time residents of Burns Lake,” said Swenson.
“The Sam family are excited to open another First Nation, locally owned business in our community. Our hope is to create a place where everyone can feel welcome, feel comfortable exploring our menus and are excited to speak to the Crossroads team about the products available,” added Sam.
