Fire breaks out on Otway Road

PRINCE GEORGE — Explosions could be heard this morning following a fire on the 8000 block of Otway Road.

Prince George Fire Rescue responded at 3 a.m. and arrived on scene to find a large grass fire, four outbuildings and numerous heavy machinery on fire.

Firefighters from three halls held the fire to the property it broke out on. The explosions were tires from the machinery releasing during the blaze.

No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
