Cougars to host Americans for home opener
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars announced their 2022-23 Western Hockey League regular-season home opener is scheduled for Friday, September 23rd, against the Tri-City Americans.
This marks the first time in franchise history that the Cougars will begin their season against the Americans. The Cats’ pre-season schedule was also announced late last week. Prince George will suit up for four pre-season games, including a pair of games at the Jon Baillie Arena in Port Coquitlam on Friday, September 9th against the Vancouver Giants and Saturday, September 10th against the Victoria Royals.
The Cougars Pre-Season schedule then wraps up the following weekend with a home and home set against the Kamloops Blazers. The Cougars will head to the Sandman Centre on Friday, September 17th, and then back at CN Centre on Saturday, September 18th.
The full WHL schedule will be released at a later date.
