Headpins deliver visit of a lifetime for Jim Good

PRINCE GEORGE – As Cariboo Rocks the North gets underway at the Exhibition Grounds excitement continues to spread throughout the area. The excitement actually travelled all the way out to Jim Goodsir Nature Park north of Prince George on Friday.

Headpins paid Jim Good a visit ahead of their performance this weekend, a man who has been waiting for a day like this his entire life.

“I dreamed this day would come up, and actually have the chance to in-person meet anyone, whether an artist or group, producer or even a songwriter,” said Good.

From the moment the band arrived, Jim was overcome with emotion, and so were members of the band when they first saw his record collection about 18,000 items strong.

Even Bernie Aubin, the drummer for Headpins was shocked at the collection adding he’d never seen anything like it.

Aubin said he was going to spread the word to all the other artists featured in Jim’s collection as well so they could witness it firsthand.

For Jim Good, it was a complete dream come true, something he said he will remember forever.

Good will be attending Cariboo Rocks the North throughout the weekend thanks to those behind the event who donated passes thanks to his good work for the community.
