Authorities handed out 34 tickets during weekend blitz

PRINCE GEORGE—Taxis, limousines and other ride-hail operations received nearly 3 dozen tickets last weekend.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s Passenger Transportation Branch (PTB) conducted joint enforcement with Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement to ensure taxis, limos and other ride-hailing options were compliant with provincial rules and license conditions.

Targeted roadside checks on Friday, August 5, and Saturday, August 6, resulted in 34 tickets being handed out.

The PTB says that these checks are a standard part of their work and are done around the province.
