Hasler Flats wildfire being held

CHETWYND — The lightning-caused Hasler Flats wildfire is now being held.
The blaze, located about 30 kilometres southwest of Chetwynd, is not expected to spread beyond determined containment lines due to suppression efforts by the BC Wildfire Service.
Response to the blaze included initial attack crews, parattack crews, unit crews, contract crews, heavy equipment operators, and aviation resources.
The Hasler Road is now open to the public as there is no longer a safety concern due to wildfire activity.
