Community Arts Council announces 2022 artist-in-residence

PRINCE GEORGE- The Community Arts Council of Prince George and Distract revealed the name of their 2022 artist-in-residence Tuesday morning.

Local artist Frances Gobbi has been selected as the latest residence. Gobbi’s work has been described as playful by Studio 2880 as she works to capture the sense of awe one experiences when surrounded by the vastness of Nature.

The Program includes a 30-day Feature Gallery Exhibit and opportunities to help the community of Prince George.

“What I see myself doing is having art workshops where people will sign up for the workshop, and then I’ll lead them through an art project,” said Gobbi.

Gobbi will be the ninth artist-in-residence to date.
