PRINCE GEORGE – Jay Dupras has always been a big fan of the whimsical Miniature-themed worlds. So much so, that he decided to build his very own in 2014.

“It started out very small for little stumps and houses and a couple of gnomes. You know, it’s grown over the years. I think {sic} there’s over 650 magical creatures [and] over probably over 400, just gnomes,” explains Dupras.

Dupras says he has collected items over the last many years from places like Value Village or even a dumpster and beyond. More recently, he has started to carve out his own little gnomes.

“Finding stuff like at the dollar store or the garden stores, you know, finding little houses, you know, at the in the garden centers started that way. And it’s an expensive hobby because depending on where you purchase the items.”

Dupras has created a Facebook page for his backyard display called Nordic Gnomies by Jay, and, even provides tours and scavenger hunts for kids.
