PRINCE GEORGE – Over the last several months, Ukrainian families have made their way into Canada, looking for a new way of life.

They come with varying skill sets, including one who arrived in Prince George to work at a local hair salon.

The app google translate has become a new tool for Tatiana Kosoplapova, who recently started cutting hair at Razors Edge Hair Studio. The team at Razors edge banded together to get her the tools to cut hair.

Tatiana has thirty years of experience and began working at the salon earlier this month.

“You might have to forfeit that bit of the experience where you get to converse, which is a big part of hairdressing and visiting the stylists.”

Tammy Ferreira, Razors Edge Hair Studio & Day Spa

Tatiana arrived in Canada less than a month ago, bringing her children and grandchildren. Her husband was not able to come.

Those wanting to help support Tatiana can call Razors Edge Hair Studio & Day Spa and book a sitting.
