‘School board governance’ concerns prompts man to run for trustee seat
PRINCE GEORGE — Martin Taylor, a semi-retired professional, is taking a run at a trustee seat in School District 57.
He moved back to Prince George a couple of years ago to spend more time with his grandchildren and says he’s been “quite concerned with the issues of board governance with the school district and senior staff turnover.”
“I’m sure it’s trickling down through the organization. People likely concerned whether people are coming or going. And my secondary focus is to make sure students have access to a good, wholesome eduction.”
Taylor says that all starts with students having a welcoming environment when they arrive at school.
