PRINCE GEORGE — Mounties are seeking your help in finding the suspects in a recent assault.

Prince George RCMP say that on Friday, September 23, shortly after 10:00 p.m., frontline officers responded to a report of an assault in progress at a convenience store on the 1500-block of 20 Avenue.

“Witnesses reported a young female had been assaulted by several people and was lying on the ground in front of the business,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.

“Multiple police officers attended and found the victim in serious condition. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Investigators have reviewed the video surveillance and have images of two potential suspects and one person of interest in this file. Also, there were many people in and around the business at the time of the assault and we are asking that if anyone has any information on what occurred that night, they call the non-emergency number at 250-561-3300 to speak with police.”

Cooper says the suspects seen on the video surveillance appear to be female. The first is wearing a black coat, a white tank top and a pink skirt. The second suspect is wearing a black or blue coat, with a white and blue jacket tied around her waist and black pants. The person of interest appears to be male. He is wearing a black sweatshirt with red stripes on the front, a camouflage baseball hat and black pants.

Police are looking to speak with this man as they believe he may have information important to the investigation. This file remains under investigation. If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only)
