Prince George RCMP hosting Coffee with a Cop day

PRINCE GEORGE ─ The Prince George RCMP are hosting Coffee with a Cop day, an event not yet seen in the city.

On Wednesday, October 5, community policing officers will be at two local coffee shops for National Coffee with a Cop day to sit down with residents in an informal and casual manner, and to answer any questions people may have about the RCMP or policing.

Corporal Jennifer Cooper says the event will be “a unique way to meet with the community and get to know people better, outside of the typical situations that often bring law enforcement and community members together.”

Cooper also hopes that the force will run the event quarterly at various coffee shops around Prince George.

Officers will be at The Open Door Cafè at 6075 Monterey Road from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and at Zoe’s Java House at 1259 4th Avenue from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
