Cougars start road weekend with thrilling 4-3 shootout win over Giants

LANGLEY, B.C. — Carter McAdams scored in the sixth round of the shootout to lift the Prince George Cougars to a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Giants Friday (Oct. 7).

In the first game of the Cougars’ initial road trip of the 2022-23 season, the team got goals from Chase Wheatcroft, Koehn Ziemmer and Riley Heidt in regulation.

Prince George got a power play in overtime but was unable to solve Giants’ goalie Jesper Vikman.

Ondrej Becher and McAdams scored in the shootout to give the Cougars the win.
