Smoky skies bulletin issued for Prince George and surrounding areas

PRINCE GEORGE — A smoky skies bulletin has been issued for Prince George and its surrounding areas.

Environment Canada says we’re likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke for the next 24 to 48 hours.

The BC Wildfire Service says it’s due to wildfires to the south of us, including places like California and Washington State.

“People with pre-existing health conditions, respiratory infections such as COVID-19, older adults, pregnant women and infants, children, and sensitive individuals are more likely to experience health effects from smoke exposure,” says Environment Canada.
