PG Humane Society overwhelmed with pets

PRINCE GEORGE — A local humane society is bursting at the seams with animals. The Prince George Humane Society currently cannot accept any more animals into the shelter, until more get adopted.

Angela McLaren, who is the executive director for the society, says that this is a problem facing all shelters in the city and the province. The society currently has a three month waiting list.

The team at the PG Humane Society has also created a program that helps pet owners and pets to avoid surrender and adoption.
