Snowplows Hit the Streets Of Prince George, Cleanup Following Two Day Snowfall Underway
PRINCE GEORGE- For the second day in a row, snow has been falling on the streets of Prince George, and quite a bit has fallen in the past 48 hours. Enough that all the city’s plow crews have been activated, and workers and heavy equipment are out clearing the roads, working round the clock until they’re salted, sanded, and free from ice and snow.
When the trucks are on the road you should treat them with the same respect you’d give farm tractors or other heavy equipment, give them a wide beath, and don’t tailgate. It’s dangerous to overtake a plow, and caution should always be taken when attempting to do so, in fact, its not something that’s ever recommended, especially if you’re driving and winter conditions. So while you’re out on the roads this weekend, keep an eye open for plows, they’re there to clear the roads of hazards and keep them safe to drive on. If you dont respect the conditions, and decide to flaunt the danger, you may end up risking not just your own life, but the lives of those on the highway with you. Stay safe out there.
