Library book sale extremely popular

PRINCE GEORGE — At the Prince George Library’s Bob Harkins branch downtown, everyone had the chance to look at a variety of books from every genre.

People were waiting outside the front doors for the sale to begin and by 1 p.m., over 200 hundred people had shown up and dozens of books had been sold.

All purchases were by donation and all the money raised through the sale will go to support programs and initiatives that the library puts on.

The Friends of the Prince George Public Library says they have raised over $440,000 for library projects since 1990.
