Prince George RCMP issue 54 driving prohibitions in October

PRINCE GEORGE — Staggering.

The response of the Prince George RCMP in relation to the 54 driving prohibitions police issued in October.

Here is a breakdown:

• 7 x 24-hour driving prohibitions, with all receiving a 24-hour vehicle impoundment
• 12 x 3-day driving prohibitions, with 10 receiving a 3-day vehicle impoundment
• 35 x 90-day driving prohibitions, with all receiving a 30-day vehicle impoundment

“Prince George RCMP will be increasing its targeted impaired driving enforcement as we approach the holiday season, to help keep impaired drivers off our streets,” says Sgt. Kyle Ushock, commander of the Municipal Traffic Services Unit.
