Nazko First Nation opens rapid housing complex for vulnerable citizens
CARIBOO REGION — The Nazko First Nation announced the opening of a new nine-unit Rapid Housing Complex which will provide on-reserve housing for the most vulnerable citizens, women & children, those with disabilities and Elders.
Located 100 km West of Quesnel, the first nation has approximately 410 citizens including 150 living on and off reserve.
In a grand opening ceremony, the Nazko First Nation is excited to welcome people to the complex and show citizens the new housing opportunities.
“The new housing opportunity for Nazko is a great honor. As a Chief, it is the most sought-after goal to help, house, and protect my people. Bringing them home is my dream and providing them the safety of our leadership in a Nazko. Suchanailya,” says Chief Leah Stump.
