Prince George under air quality advisory

PRINCE GEORGE — Environment and Climate Change Canada currently has an air quality advisory out for Prince George which is in effect due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter in the air.

Arctic air is expected to arrive in the region which may get rid of some of that fine particulate matter.

Exposure may pose a concern to those with chronic conditions such as asthma or COPD.

Anyone experiencing symptoms such as continuing eye or throat irritation, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, cough or wheezing, should follow the advice of their health care provider. Staying indoors helps to reduce particulate matter exposure.
