Wood stove fire causes $10,000 in damage

PRINCE GEORGE — Fire crews were called to the Lombardy Mobile Home Park on Monday night to reports of a structure fire.
At around 8:30 pm crews arrived on scene and encountered heavy smoke billowing from the structure. Crews quickly extinguished the flames and limited the damage to a single unit. The fire appeared to be caused by a ill-maintained wood stove. The residence suffered significant damage estimated at $10,000.
The City’s Emergency Support Services arranged short term accommodation for the home’s displaced occupant.
