Structure fire on Norwood Street causes $20K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Though hindered by extreme cold, Prince George Fire Rescue doused a structure fire on the 2100 block of Norwood Street yesterday (Dec.21) morning.

It broke out at around 11:30 a.m. with crews from four fire halls arriving on scene to find heavy flame and smoke coming from the residence.

The fire was contained to a single residence with damages estimated at $20,000.

No one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
