Evacuation order lifted following tanker truck crash

DAWSON CREEK — An evacuation order for an area south of Dawson Creek has been rescinded after a tanker truck crashed carrying hazardous material.
The Peace River Regional District says residents can now return home and there is no risk to the public at this time.
The district had issued the evacuation order on Wednesday for a one-kilometre radius around the crash in the Tomslake area.
