LeFranc scores OT winner in Prince George Spruce Kings comeback win in Wenatchee
WENATCHEE, WA.— Ben LeFranc’s second goal of the season 22 seconds into overtime lifted the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 5 – 4 overtime victory over the hometown Wenatchee Wild Friday (Dec. 30) night.
The Spruce Kings trailed most of the game, falling behind 2 – 0 after the first period. Killan McGregor-Bennett’s goal with nine minutes remaining in the third period tied the contest 4 – 4 and set up LeFranc’s overtime heroics.
Jake Schneider had one goal and two assists to lead the Prince George offense while Ty Gagno had a goal and an assist. Austin Fraser and Charlie Banquier each had two assists for Prince George.
Micah Berger had two goals and one assist to lead the Wild in front of a hometown crowd of 3,028.
