Spruce Kings lose 6-5 New Year’s Eve tilt in overtime

WENATCHEE — The Prince George Spruce Kings dropped a 6-5 overtime decision to the Wenatchee Wild on the road last night (Dec.31).
Austin Fraser of he Spruce Kings tied the game at 5 at the 14:54 mark of the third period only to see the Wild’s Cade Littler score the game winner about four-and-a-half minutes into overtime before 2,569 fans.
The Wild outshot the Kings 47-34. The Kings won Friday night’s game 5-4 in overtime.
The Kings are back on the ice Friday night when they host the Penticton Vees.
