Prince George’s New Year’s baby is a boy

PRINCE GEORGE — The first baby born in Prince George in 2023 is a boy.

Northern Health says that Baby Paxton was born at 12:45 am on New Year’s Day at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC), weighing 7 lbs 15 oz, to parents Chelsea and Dave.

In Dawson Creek, the first baby born in 2023 was another boy. Baby Tyrell was born at 1:10 am at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital, weighing 9 lbs 1 oz, to parents Lisa and Jay.
