Tree of Lights campaign wraps up on January 8

PRINCE GEORGE — The United Way’s tree of lights campaign is now wrapping up on January 8th.

The tree of lights campaign’s end date was extended to January 8th this year. The goal of the campaign was to raise over 85 thousand dollars, but so far they have only reached 54 thousand.

Despite the lower numbers this year, Meghan Ginter, director of philanthropy says that United Way of Northern BC is grateful for each and every donation, as it will go a long way to helping the less fortunate in the community.
