Wednesday night shooting prompts heavy police response at Parkwood Plaza

PRINCE GEORGE- A heavy police presence was dispatched to Parkwood Plaza shortly before 8pm Wednesday night. Witnesses said two men were engaged in an altercation when they heard the sound of a gunshot. The victim of the shooting, a man known to police but who’s identity has not been released, fled the scene. He was later found in hospital seeking treatment for non life-threatening.

The Prince George RCMP are currently investigating, and are asking members of the public to give them a call if they have any further information on the incident, and could provide a better description of the suspected shooter or his vehicle, described as a white or gold, older model sedan.
