Man arrested following Quince Street shooting

PRINCE GEORGE — A 39-year-old Prince George man is facing charges following a shots fired complaint.

RCMP say the incident occurred at a residence on the 2100 block of Quince Street just before 8 pm. Sunday night (Jan.23).

The 16-year-old victim told police she was at the residence when an adult male pointed a gun and shot at her, narrowly missing her.

The victim was uninjured, left the home and call police. The suspect, Colby Johnson, was arrested with police noting he was bound by a lifetime firearm ban.

Investigators found several firearms at the home, a large quantity of fentanyl, and over $8,000 in cash.

Johnson is facing the following charges:

  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm

Johnson will remain in police custody until his next court appearance.
