Arctic air to return Friday night
Jan 26, 2023 | 8:14 AM
PRINCE GEORGE — The current warm spell won’t last much longer.
This as Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, warning that arctic air will invade B.C. beginning late Friday, with temperatures expected to plunge 10 to 20 degrees.
In Prince George, that means an overnight low of minus 18 Friday, and minus 21 on Saturday.
“A short period of gusty winds will accompany the cold air’s arrival through the interior, and may combine with snow leading to a brief period of blowing snow Saturday,” says Environment Canada.
