Spruce Kings Banquier announces NCAA commitment to Stonehill College

PRINCE GEORGE– Another Prince George Spruce Kings will continue their hockey career after this season as defenceman Charlie Banquier recently announced he has committed to Stonehill College.

Located in Easton, Massachusetts, in the Greater Boston area the school announced that they were promoting all their varsity programs to Division I for the 2022-23 academic year. The hockey program elevated from Division II and competes as an Independent.

The Skyhawks finished last season with a record of 17-6-2, playing a schedule of opponents ranging from Division I to Division III. For Banquier, he’s excited about the opportunity to play for Stonehill and it’s a dream come true to take his career to the next level and play Division 1 hockey.
