NDP Transportation Critic Taylor Bachrach tables private member’s bill aimed at revamping Air Passenger Protections
PRINCE GEORGE – Bill C-327 has been pitched by NDP Transportation Critic Taylor Bachrach as the template which will amend the Canada Transportation Act so as to better serve Canadians who have been stranded by delayed or cancelled flights.
The bill comes on the heels of two back to back chaotic travel seasons in the country, that saw dozens of Canadians stranded all across the country, and around the world, by flights delayed for a plethora of reasons, ranging from inclement weather, mechanical failures, staffing challenges, and in the most recent case, the partial seizure of Flair airlines fleet over a creditor dispute.
