School District 57 by-election underway in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — The polls are open in a by-election for a pair of trustee seats on School District 57’s Board of Education.

Between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Saturday (June 17), eligible voters can go to one of five polling locations to cast their ballots:

• Glenview Elementary School, 7310 Cluff Road
• Heritage Elementary School, 257 Anderson Street
• Malaspina Elementary School, 7900 Malaspina Boulevard
• Pineview Elementary School, 8515 Old Cariboo Highway
• Van Bien Training Centre, 311 Wilson Crescent

The by-election was made necessary when two trustees, Betty Bekkering and Gillian Burnett, tendered their resignations a few months after last October’s municipal election.
