Large crowd turns out for anti SOGI rally

PRINCE GEORGE — Around 100 people have gathered outside city hall to protest SOGI education Wednesday morning.

They’re “standing together against gender ideology in schools” adding they support parents’ rights to educate their own children on sexual issues, including their right to bypass sexual education.

A counter protest organized by PG Physicians Against Hate takes place at 4 p.m. at the same location Wednesday afternoon.

The group says SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) is a framework that applies to everyone, no matter their identity, and aims to make schools safe spaces for all.
