Jared Young acquired by the St.Louis Cardinals

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George native Jared Young has been acquired by the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cards acquired Young from the Chicago Cubs.In 16 games with the Cubs last season, Young batted .186 over 43 plate appearances.

Young hit his first career homer with the Cubs back on June 28 after being called up by their Triple-A affiliate the Iowa Cubs.
