Prince George Spruce Kings make neck protection mandatory

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings are announcing that all players must wear mandatory neck guard protection effective immediately.

All Spruce Kings players will be required to wear protective neck guard equipment during all on-ice activities, including games and practices.

The Spruce Kings have received an order for 27 neck guards. The team will be wearing them this weekend against West Kelowna.

This decision comes after the tragic passing of Adam Johnson.
