Crime Stoppers tips lead to thousands of dollars in drug seizures in 2023

PRINCE GEORGE — 2023 was another successful year for Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers.

Thanks to 1,047 tips last year, the non-profit says it helped RCMP recover $170,000 in stolen property, helped seize $23,200 in drugs and recover $20,842 in cash.

“The Board of Directors of Northern BC Crime Stoppers would like to thank the citizens of Northern B.C. for continuing to provide vital information that has led to a good year for tips. Crime negatively impacts our safety and undermines our collective efforts to create healthy communities.”

Crime Stoppers also thanks the RCMP for continuing to supports its crime fighting program.

There are two ways to submit a tip to Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers anonymously 24/7 365 days a year. The traditional method of calling 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) and providing information to a trained operator. You can also submit a typed tip via their website at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca.

Northern B.C.’s next “Community Shred It Event” takes place on Saturday April 27, 2024 in the PGSS parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
