Update: RCMP arrest two suspects in armed car-jacking

PRINCE GEORGE — —Update: RCMP say the two suspects have been arrested in connection with this investigation. RCMP are thanking everyone who assisted police in their search.

Investigators have updated the involved elementary schools with the same information. There will be no further updates.

Earlier: Prince George RCMP are investigating an armed car-jacking.

It happened at around 1 a.m. Wednesday morning in the North Kelly Road area of Prince George with police searching for two suspects.

RCMP say two people were robbed of their vehicle by two unknown men with guns. The vehicle was located by police abandoned a short time later.

Officers, including police dog services and an RCMP helicopter are searching for the suspects. Police say the pair are armed and dangerous.

RCMP say a nearby elementary school has been notified of the ongoing search in the area.
